Course Information
This video will take you through the step-by-step procedures of performing a full energy audit conducted on a typical house according to the BPI® (Building Performance Institute®) Technical Standards.

Whether you are preparing for the BPI® Building Analyst exam or looking to learn the basics of the growing residential energy efficiency sector this video will show you the fundamentals:

This training is based upon the Building Performance Institute® (BPI®) technical standards for a BPI® Certified Building Analyst Professional. This training will NOT certify you as a BPI® Building Analyst. There is considerable building science and procedural training to become BPI® certified that is not covered in this course.
Cliff Babson:
Cliff is the Executive Director at Building Performance Contractors Association of New York and the head of the board of technical standards for CleanEdison. CleanEdison is a nationally recognized training affiliate of the Building Performance Institiute® (BPI®). Cliff has over 25 years of experience in construction and building energy management. Before joining CleanEdison, Cliff managed the residential contracting department at a premier home performance contractor in the northeast. He oversaw efficiency retrofits including HVAC upgrades, building envelope improvements, and Solar installations and became an expert on TREAT modeling software. He has overseen more than 1,000 home audits and also specializes in commercial building energy systems.
Scott Harris:
Scott has over 25 years of experience in building engineering, construction and safety assessments. He is a board Certified Master Inspector (CMI®), having completed over 1,000 home inspections to earn the inspection industry’s most prestigious designation. Scott has extensive training experience and has performed over 400 energy audits.

This course has been approved by:
- the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors;
- the Master Inspector Certification Board;
- the International Association of Certified Indoor Air Consultants; and
Upon completion of this course and passing of the 50-question final exam (drawn from a larger pool), the student can download and print their own Certificate of Completion which is auto-generated in their own name.
